Greetings Fellow HarmonicaUK harmonica players!

It's a while since I have run a Zoom Course but this August I will be running a Harmonica Rapid Improvement Course based on a unique set of exercises and melodies based on just 4 holes.

Question: why 4 holes? Answer: Solo Tuning, the note layout on a chromatic harmonica in which the same 4 hole pattern is repeated in each octave.

Having researched and thought about this over years, it is my experience that most harmonica players of any idiom have not fully explored the possibilities of exercises and melodies based on just 4 holes.

I have therefore developed a set of essential foundational exercises and melodies  to be played on just these 4 holes - and you won’t believe what a good workout it can be for your musicianship at the deepest level, even though you might already play diatonic and chromatic to an advanced degree.

With the support of a 3 week zoom class and some concentrated practice in between, I am convinced that you have the potential to boost your playing and musicianship to a different level!

This course will be useful to diatonic and chromatic players alike!

There will be Video Audio & PDFs available to all who register.

We will cover - ear training, music theory, intervals, introduction to  scales and modes, use of tablature, note lyrics, use of a keyboard to assist learning, how to prepare to play in public or jam sessions, develop time & rhythmic security.

You will need one of the following harmonicas:

-  a diatonic harmonica in key of C ( we will focus on holes 4 - 7 only)
-  chromatic harmonica in C
-  8 hole or 4 hole harmonica in C with SOLO tuning
