Hello everyone,

Welcome to our first monthly newsletter which will compliment our new quarterly hardcopy Magazine. This 12 month trial will hopefully be more sustainable for the editorial team. Additionally, this is a greener option and a lot more of the moment for news within the world of harmonica.

So what’s changing? From January we will be communicating with you via the magazine and newsletters 16 times per year, up from just 6 magazines per year. In addition to the 4 hard copy magazines we will continue with the accessible and electronic ISSUU versions of the magazine.

I am thrilled to announce that Barry Elms is now Head of Communications/Vice-Chair. Dave Colclough will step us as Editor on the 1/12. These are exciting changes as we explore ways to be more inclusive. I would like to wish Barry and Dave good luck as I know they will continue to bring positive change to HarmonicaUK.

Don’t forget that we have a members only forum on our new website Harmonica.uk - please make use of this new member facility communicate with other members around the UK and Worldwide.

At the time of writing, we are about to start our plans for a Chromatic Weekend for next June. You will notice that I haven’t used the word virtual! Our plans are for some sort of hybrid weekend. Watch this space.

As I close I would like to thank all of team HarmonicaUK - our President, VP, Patrons, Ambassadors, Committee and Helpers - for all their help this year. I am sure 2021 will be remembered for change being the only constant.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.

Pete
