Hello HarmonicaUK members!
This month, we want to tell you about 3 of our Chromatics:
Seydel VOLCANY Chromatic.
The perfect harmony of different materials and components creates individual tones. If these tones are skillfully combined, they become a melody. If you fill this melody with emotion and passion, it becomes music that touches and triggers the most beautiful feelings.
In his new video, Marti Chromartica impressively demonstrates how you can convey precisely these emotions with our VOLCANY Chromatic. To bring this music to life, he can rely 100% on his instrument. That's what he says about his VOLCANY:
“In terms of build quality, the Seydel VOLCANY is at least a class above many other instruments I have played. The quality of the mouthpiece and the slider is simply outstanding. The sound of the VOLCANY is also richer in color at high an very low dynamics than most other models on the market”.
Convince yourself of the versatility and brilliant sound of the Seydel VOLCANY Chromatic in the video here.

Seydel Saxony: Home of Music, Origin of Sound.
Why did we name our first chromatic harmonica with stainless steel reeds “SAXONY”, like our homeland?
Because we are proud of our homeland and of the long tradition of music-making in the valleys and forests of our region. Even during Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's lifetime, entire symphony orchestras could only be equipped with instruments from our “Musicon Valley”.
Our SAXONY Chromatic embodies this spirit, but it is also a pioneer in new technologies and production methods. Stainless steel reeds have proven to be not only a viable alternative for us and the players of our instruments, but also an absolute advantage in terms of dynamics, durability, and sound quality.

Seydel NONSLIDER Chromatic - For all those who want to be “different”
Why change and rethink something when it has been tried, tested and established for decades?
After all, without a radical rethink, progress often comes to a stop.
The NONSLIDER Chromatic retains the main feature of a chromatic harmonica: 48 reeds in an instrument that allows you to play all semitones over 3 octaves. The new idea is HOW you play these notes.
It works completely without a slide mechanism, instead making all semitones accessible via a second row of holes in the mouthpiece. Without the slider, the notes respond as directly and simply as on a blues harmonica.
Valves are not required in the most common keys of G, A, Bb, C and D, and techniques such as bending and overblowing open up entirely new possibilities for playing and interpreting classical pieces, jazz, blues, and all other styles of music.
The possibilities are endless with the “NONSLIDER” way of playing the harmonica.

Thanks!
The Seydel team.
