Slide Man Slim & Penny Hanna Release Their New Album "Home Grown"
Slide Man Slim & Penny Hanna's latest release is now available on all major streaming platforms
Aptos, CA, July 11 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Longtime Aptos duo Slide Man Slim & Penny Hanna met in Berkeley in 1973 and have been making music together ever since. Their latest album "Home Grown" presents a dazzling array of well-crafted styles and grooves across ten original tunes they recorded in their project studio over the last 4 years.
The repertoire touches on Swing, Pop, Brazilian, Classic Country and Jazz grooves while lyrical themes include Life's Third Act, Climate Change, Politics, Religion, and (of course) True Love. As for the instrumentation, you'll hear Penny on Vocals, Double Bass, Bass Guitar, Alto Sax, Clarinet, and Viola da Gamba. Slim's on Vocals, Chromatic Harmonica, Guitar, Pedal Steel Guitar, Keys, and Drum programming.
The album can currently be heard or downloaded free of charge from their website, along with liner notes and lyrics (also links to the album on streaming platforms):

Highlights from the album include "Nature Will Have Her Way" (their scathing take on the climate situation), the infectious harmonica instrumental "Contact High", a humanist love ballad "If I Believed", and a get-out-the-vote anthem "Stand Up!".
